The ASL team had the privilege of spending time with the learners of Tereo Community School on Friday, 25 July. In the spirit of Madiba’s legacy of kindness, service, and giving back, our team dedicated their 67 minutes (and more!) to bringing smiles, laughter, and encouragement to the children.

We visited each class to read books and share inspiring stories, sparking curiosity and engagement. Afterwards, the children were treated to a special lunch of burgers, sweets, and cooldrinks — a small gesture to brighten their day. The highlight for many was the energetic games we played together, filling the school grounds with laughter and joy.

Mandela Day serves as a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. At ASL, we remain committed to uplifting our communities and living out the values of compassion and unity that Nelson Mandela stood for.

We left Tereo Community School inspired by the energy, resilience, and smiles of the learners. It was a day filled with warmth, connection, and hope — one that reminded us of the power of giving back.
