Office Administration & FICA Compliance Officer

ASL, an established and leading audit and accounting firm in Somerset West, is seeking the services of a self-motivated individual with strong administration skills for the position of Office Administration and FICA Officer. .

The ideal candidate must meet the following key requirements:

  • Grade 12 level of education, although further related qualifications will be advantageous;
  • Minimum of two to three years’ work experience in the professional services industry;
  • Knowledge of the Companies Act and experience in company secretarial services, as well as the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), will be advantageous;
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English;
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English;
  • Excellent administration and interpersonal skills; and
  • Practical work experience on relevant computer software and systems (e.g. Greatsoft) will be advantageous.

A high level of attention to detail, the ability to perform tasks accurately and willingness to learn are essential characteristics of a successful candidate.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities and tasks will include office administrative support and FICA compliance, including, but not limited to:

  • General:
    • Provide direct administrative support to the Office Administration Manager and Compliance Director.
  • Onboarding and offboarding procedures:
    • Perform onboarding and offboarding procedures for clients in accordance with the firm’s standard operating procedures.
  • Maintenance and performance of processes and procedures in line with the firm’s Risk Management and Compliance Program (“RMCP”), including:
    • Manage FICA compliance program to ensure FICA alignment with regulatory standards.
    • Record information of transactions in accordance with the FIC.
    • Conduct risk assessments to detect and mitigate financial crime risks.
    • Establish and verify client information.
    • Provide assistance to develop and enforce policies to meet FICA and governance requirements.
    • Prepare and assist with annual submissions to the FIC.
  • Administration and facilitation of electronic signing of relevant client documents:
    • Quality control of documents to be circulatated for signature;
    • Utilising our QuicklySign platform for the circulation of relevant documents to clients.
