ASL wishes to welcome new staff members and congratulate the following individuals who has commenced management and consultant roles at the ASL Group.
Nadia Auret has been promoted from assistant manager to client manager in the Audit and Assurance Business Division from June 2021. Nadia, who completed her BAcc and BAcc Honours Degrees from Stellenbosch University, joined ASL for her SAICA training contract in 2018. She recently completed all her final SAICA board examinations, which together with her strong leadership qualities and technical abilities, renders her the perfect candidate for the position.
In the Business Solutions division, Bianca Veldsman had joined ASL in the capacity of division manager in May 2021 and Willie Hanekom commenced employment as client manager in June 2021. Bianca, who has completed her BAcc Degree through Stellenbosch University and her BAcc Honours Degree through UNISA, has the ideal personal skillset to assume responsibility of the overall operational management of this business division, comprising accounting, payroll service and company secretarial duties. She completed her SAICA training contract and worked as a manager in the professional services industry before joining the ASL Group.
Willie, who completed his BComm Financial Accounting Degree through Stellenbosch University, finished his SAIPA training contract and worked as an accounting manager until joining the ASL Group. Not only are we delighted that he joined the group, but his technical affinity and skillset will contribute to his success in his role to assist EXCO in service excellence to clients.
Maritza du Preez, an admitted attorney, joined ASL Advisory in May 2021 in the capacity of legal consultant. She will be providing support to EXCO, and more specifically Frances Burger, a legal and tax consulting associate at ASL Advisory. Before joining ASL, Maritza worked at a reputable legal firm in the Helderberg region and intends to pursue a career and develop her skillset further in Commercial Law. She has already proven to be a valuable asset and we wish her well in this new role.
